Let me share the three stages of writing a poem that I’ve learned and practiced the most, from my perspective.

Let’s begin ….

First, start to write everything that comes in your thought.

secondly, don’t pay too much attention about the literature form.

Third, the final step is to organize your sentences.

Let’s Explore …

So I will start from the first one. According to Michael Rosen “You should write about something that matters to you”.

But what’s that mean?

It doesn’t mean it has to be serious or sad. It could be funny, odd or a bit mysterious. Just relax! Don’t think about a stanzas or sentences yet; instead write down anything that comes to mind. Start with a single word then a phrase then a sentence.

Don’t be afraid, okay.

Even if the sentences are incomplete or disorganized, you can always shape your ideas and arrange them later

Let’s practice ….

Go and grab your writing tools and paper and yourself, of course and start writing right now.

Wherever you go, keep your writing tools and paper. Because when you go outside you will see and experience many things that will spark your words. The rich sources of inspiration can come from people around. It can be an object, colors and emotions maybe also someone’s problem or even your own.

Let it flow right from your mind. Don’t think about it or hold back for too long. Just start taking notes and write down any words that come to minds to your mind.

Prayer helps a lot, much like King Solomon asking for wisdom.

Let’s pray to God and ask for creativity, clarity and guidance.

I hope to read your poem soon ^_^
